Hello!
We are Maisie & Mel, the Early Years educators at Little Rays of Sunshine.
We bring different knowledge, skills and experience to the table, but we’re united by a love for early education, thoughtfully planned learning environments, and real connection with children and their families.
Both qualified teachers, we believe in every child’s ability to shine brightly!
Together we have extensive knowledge and experience teaching, consulting and advising in Early Years education. We are also mums ourselves!
We are registered with Ofsted, DBS checked and have recent Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding and Food hygiene training,
Dedicated to building trusting relationships with families, we will work with you to find out about your child’s unique strengths, needs and fascinations, so that we can help them to reach their potential.
Bringing current teaching experience, energy and enthusiasm for singing, drama, art and sports, I am committed to providing an active, creative and fun learning environment for each unique child.

With over thirty years of experience working in education, as a teacher, Early Years lead, and then an Early Years consultant, specialising in Communication, Language and Literacy, I am passionate about play based learning and developing children’s communication skills.
